Media walls in Drogheda, designed around your room
A bespoke media wall in Drogheda takes one to two weeks from measure to install, with cabling, shelving, and lighting designed in from the start — not added as an afterthought.
The short answer
A bespoke media wall from MS Carpentry typically takes one to two weeks from measure to install, and is priced individually after a home visit — you get a fixed, itemised quote before anything is built. Cabling, the TV bracket, shelving, and lighting are all designed in from the start, so nothing shows but the screen. An electric fireplace opening can be built into the same wall if you want one.

Sound familiar?
The TV is wall-mounted but the HDMI, power, and aerial leads hang down the wall to a unit covered in consoles and set-top boxes.
The main living-room wall is just a TV on a bracket — no shelving, no storage, no focal point, and the room never feels finished.
The games consoles, set-top box, and router sit in full view with their lights blinking all evening, because there's nowhere ventilated to hide them.
You've seen media walls with an electric fire under the screen, but a DIY frame with visible cables and a scorched telly is not the plan.

What's included
One wall, everything in its place
A media wall should look like furniture, not a tech installation. Here's what the job covers when we take it on.
- Home measure and layout design. We measure the wall, plan the proportions around your TV size and seating height, and give you a clear design with a fixed, itemised quote.
- Workshop-built units. Cabinets, shelving, and panelling made in the workshop in hardwoods like oak, ash, or walnut, or paintable boards for a sprayed finish in any colour.
- Recessed TV bracket and concealed cabling. The bracket is built into the structure and every cable runs in hidden trunking — nothing hangs below the screen.
- Ventilated equipment cabinet. A closed, ventilated cabinet for consoles, set-top boxes, and the router, so they're hidden but don't overheat.
- Electric fireplace opening. If you're adding an electric fire, the opening is built to the exact model's dimensions with the correct clearances and power in place.
- Integrated lighting and tidy finish. LED strips to shelving and recesses wired before the wall is closed up, floors protected during the fit, and a full walkthrough at the end.

Local to you
Media wall installation, locally based
MS Carpentry is based in Drogheda, Co. Louth, and works across the greater East Meath region — including Duleek, Laytown, Bettystown, Julianstown, and Ashbourne. Drogheda sits on the Louth–Meath border, so most of our work is within a short drive: site visits, measures, and installs are easy to schedule, and you're never waiting on a contractor travelling from Dublin. [PLACEHOLDER: add note on familiarity with local house types — estates, period terraces, new builds — once owner supplies copy.]

Why MS Carpentry for your media wall
One pair of hands, start to finish

Designed in, not added on
Cabling, bracket, shelving, lighting, and the fire opening are planned together at the design stage — so nothing is retrofitted and nothing shows but the screen.

Common questions
Questions about media walls
A media wall is priced after a home measure, because the width of the wall, the materials, and features like a fireplace opening, shelving, and lighting all change the figure. You always get a fixed, itemised quote before any work starts, so you can see exactly what each part costs.
A bespoke media wall typically takes one to two weeks from measure to install. The units are built in the workshop, so the on-site fitting is usually a day or two, and you'll have a firm install date before the build starts.
Yes — cable management is designed in from the start, not added as an afterthought. The TV bracket is recessed into the wall build-up, and cables run in concealed trunking to a ventilated cabinet for the consoles, set-top boxes, and router. Nothing shows but the screen.
Yes. We build the opening to suit the specific electric fire you choose, with the correct clearances and a power point positioned inside the structure. It's worth picking the fire before the design is finalised so the proportions work with your TV size and shelving.
Display shelving, LED strip lighting, and closed cabinets can all be built into the same wall, positioned around your TV and fire. We plan the layout at the design stage so shelving heights suit what you want to display and the lighting is wired before anything is closed up.
A soft dry or lightly damp cloth keeps timber and painted finishes clean — keep moisture away from the TV recess and any lighting. Ventilation grilles for the equipment cabinet should be dusted now and then so consoles don't overheat. At handover we leave you with care advice for the finishes used.
